Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 眠狂四郎
在将军德川家齐统治下的文政年间，老中水野忠成与水野忠邦在幕府内展开激烈的权力斗争。此时，携带名刀“无想正宗”的神秘浪人眠狂四郎（长谷川博己 饰）现身江户，并受忠邦的亲信之命，暗中刺杀刺客。被他斩杀的刺客颈上佩戴着象征基督信仰的念珠。随后，狂四郎将此物交还给刺客的妹妹静香，引发信徒与豪商备前屋的反击，双方为守护与暗杀而对立。另一方面，大目付松平主水正也奉忠成之命，派遣剑豪追杀狂四郎。权谋与信仰交织，一场错综复杂的生死之战即将展开。
