Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 一江春水向东流

 一九三零年代的上海顺和纱厂，女工素芬（白杨 饰）与妇女补习学校教员张忠良（陶金 饰）喜结连理。 一九三七年七月七日，素芬诞下一子。忠良为子取名抗生后不久，便加入救护队离开上海，并机智地在南京大屠杀中幸存下来。 一九三八年，忠良母（吴茵 饰）带素芬和抗生回到丹阳乡下。但是乡下也不太平，忠良弟忠民（高正 饰）不肯做走狗，上山打起了游击。 一九四零年，侵略者吊死了忠良父。素芬只得背子随婆回到上海，以对忠良的思念和期盼为支撑，在苦难中挣扎求生。 一九四一年，被俘后成功逃脱的忠良辗转到达重庆，困苦中只得投靠故交王丽珍（舒绣文 饰），并慢慢被堕落的物质生活所引诱，开始迷失自己。 一九四五年，日本投降，忠良和丽珍先后回到上海，住进丽珍表姐何文艳（上官云珠 饰）家。就在忠良与文艳厮混时，走投无路的素芬歪打正着被招入文艳家帮佣……

去海边的路

本片改编自同名漫画，背景设定在提倡支持艺术家移居的海边城市，讲述了悠哉生活的14岁美术社员奏介和他的伙伴们，在奇怪的“艺术家”们来来常常的海边街道上，一边做着自己喜欢的东西，一边用无限的想象力让世界变得愉快。

　　擅长画画的高中生真城最高（佐藤健 饰）有一天被头脑灵光的同学高木秋人（神木隆之介 饰）缠上。对方自称超级喜欢漫画，可却没有绘画才能，秋人希望和最高搭档进军漫画界。最高的叔叔川口太郎（宫藤官九郎 饰）曾是小有名气的漫画家，但因过劳和连载被砍最终英年早逝，这让青年深知这一行的残酷性。经不住秋人的怂恿，最高终于就范。两人选择自荐的方式将目标锁定在集英社旗下的殿堂级周刊《JUMP》上，并初步得到了编辑服部哲（山田孝之 饰）的认可。与此同时，天才高中生新妻英二（染谷将太 饰）横空出世，促使两个人不顾一切地要与之一较高低。不知不觉中，他们已经踏入了这个瑰丽精彩却又残酷万分的漫画世界……　　本片根据创作了超人气漫画《死亡笔记》的大场鸫（原作）、小畑健（作画）的同名漫画改编。
